Giulia Belgiovine

Giulia Belgiovine

Postdoctoral Researcher @ CONTACT - Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia
Giulia Belgiovine (she/her) is a postdoctoral researcher at the COgNTtive Architectures for Collaborative Technologies (CONTACT) unit of the Italian Institute of Technologies, Genoa, Italy. Her research aims at investigating how to develop cognitive architectures for social robots to promote better human-robot interactions (HRI) and foster robots’ autonomous learning and adaptive behavior, with a particular focus on multiparty interactions. Her research interests also include artificial intelligence, trustworthy and assistive social robotics. She is also actively involved in outreach and educational events to bring robotics and AI topics closer to a young and broad audience.
Dario Pasquali

Dario Pasquali

Postdoctoral Researcher @ CONTACT - Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia
Dr. Dario Pasquali (he/him) is a postdoctoral researcher at the COgNTtive Architectures for Collaborative Technologies unit of the Italian Institute of Technologies. His research is grounded on modelling humans’ behaviour, decisions and cognitive efforts in human-robot collaboration starting from physiological measures (e.g., pupillometry, electrodermal activity). Dario consistently applies a gamification-by-design research method, developing game-based HRI experiments to foster better experiences for the participants and more realistic behavioural data.
Francesca Cocchella

Francesca Cocchella

Ph.D. Student @ CONTACT - Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia
Francesca (she/her) is a Social Psychologist Ph.D. Student at the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) in the COgNiTive Architecture for Collaborative Technologies (CONTACT) unit in the Cognitive Robotics, Interaction and Rehabilitation Technologies. Her main research interests include the social cognition of humanoid robots, the study of trust in robots, and group interactions. Since 2021 she has collaborated with the Laboratory of Social and Language Psychology as a research trainee at the University of Genoa, in which she researches about cognitive anthropomorphism of humanoid robots.
Giulia Pusceddu

Giulia Pusceddu

Ph.D. Student @ RBCS - Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia
Giulia (she/her) is a passionate Ph.D. student in Cognitive Robotics, Interaction, and Rehabilitation Technologies. Her research aims to investigate and improve the interaction between humanoid robots and groups of people. She believes that teaching robots how to deal with groups would be crucial to insert robotic devices into everyday life and could reveal fascinating insights into human group dynamics. Since 2020 she has been a Global Shaper in the Genoa Hub, of which she became Vice-Curator in July 2022. In 2017 she co-founded Ianua Studenti e Alumni, a student organization she was president of from 2020 to 2021.
Linda Lastrico

Linda Lastrico

Postdoctoral Researcher @ CONTACT - Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia
Linda Lastrico (she/her) is a Ph.D. fellow at the COgNiTive Architecture for Collaborative Technologies (CONTACT) unit of the Italian Institute of Technology, Genoa, Italy. She’s about to defend her Ph.D. thesis in collaboration with the University of Genova, where she investigated implicit communication applied to object manipulation and its implication in human-robot interaction. She has also collaborated in studies on children-robot interaction both in lab settings and in the wild. She’s passionate about science communication and dissemination: she participated in many science outreach events, and she is a Young Ambassador for the Women&Tech association.
Ana

Ana Tanevska

Postdoctoral researcher @ Social Robotics Lab - Uppsala University
Dr. Ana Tanevska (they/them) is a postdoctoral researcher at the Social Robotics Lab in Uppsala University, within the Horizon Europe project SymAware. Their research is grounded in the topic of trustworthy human-robot interaction (HRI), with a particular focus on human-in-the-loop learning, and shared autonomy and agency in HRI. In addition to trustworthy HRI, Ana’s research interests include cognitive robotics (with a spotlight on the role of affect in cognition), and socially-assistive HRI.
